Because we sell items from a large assortment of manufacturers and because manufacturers don't tend to use a universal sizing system, we prefer to list measurements on individual products. We do not recommend just buying a large shirt because you normally wear large in t-shirts. We encourage shoppers to look at the listed measurements for the different sizes and measure yourself to see which will fit you best. A simple cloth measuring tape works best, but in a pinch a handyman style tape measure will work as well. If you have any questions regarding measuring yourself, please feel free to reach out to us!
Clothing products will typically have measurements such as chest circumference, waist circumference, total length, sleeve length, calf circumference, head circumference, etc.
For shoes and boots, the listing may say whether it runs true to US sizes, or it may list measurements to compare to your own feet.
Here is how we recommend to take some of your measurements:
Chest circumference: Measure under arms, around fullest part of chest.
Waist circumference: Measure waist circumference (completely around) at an even height against bare skin. Keep a finger between your body and the tape when reading your measurement.
Sleeve length: Measure from top of shoulder seam to 1.5 inches lower than the wrist bone.
Coat and cloak length: Measure from base of neck the length you like. Stand up straight before measuring.
